The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) is the leading charitable funder and advocate for research on Type 1 diabetes and its complications. Founded in 1974 by parents to find a cure for diabetes,
our mission is to find a cure for diabetes and its complications through the support of research.
We aggressively pursue all promising avenues of science, and make funding decisions based on rigorous scientific and lay reviews.
JDRF annually directs over 80 percent of expenditures to research and research-related education.
Through volunteers, staff and corporate partnerships in over 200 locations worldwide, JDRF offers a diverse support network,
outreach programs, advocacy initiatives, and innovative fundraising programs.
As Canada leads the way in diabetes research, we thank you for your support of JDRF.
